Thursday, July 10, 7 PM — Beekeeping Gadgets, Solar Wax Melting, Apiary Record Keeping, and Round Table Discussion
We will meet at the GVSU – Meijer Campus (515 S. Waverly Road, Holland). This will be a more informal meeting to share ideas and ask questions concerning beekeeping. Please bring along any gadgets (or photos of gadgets) that have worked well in your apiary.
Passing along this request:
Greetings, Holland Area Beekeepers!
Thanks for offering such an informative presentation last week. Dr. Pett was a wealth of experience and information. As “newbees”, we are looking forward to attending future meetings and actively participating.
We have a new Warre hive in Hudsonville, and are looking for a swarm or split to house. Also, we are willing to pay for anyone’s time and expenses in helping us establish our first hive. Feel free to contact us by email, or call Jamie Coop at 989-370-5780, or Jeff Klamer at 989-370-6780.
Your time and efforts to share this request on your website would be greatly appreciated.
Saturday, August 2, 11-3 — Summer Picnic–Extraction Demonstration–Beekeeping Garage Sale
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon just south of Grandville! We will be serving Pizza Ranch Broasted Chicken at noon and ask that everyone bring along a potluck item to share. Plates, silverware, and beverages will be provided. There will be an opportunity to participate in a Beekeeping Garage Sale. Feel free to bring along any new or used beekeeping items you are interested in selling. There will be an area set aside for you to park and sell from your truck or trunk (or you may bring a table along to display your items). To help with planning, please let me know if you are bringing items to sell. If you are planning to attend, please contact me to RSVP by July 25 and I will respond with detailed directions.
Wishing you all a safe and fun-filled Fourth of July!
